What’s included in the studio fee?

Your $10 studio fee covers:

  • Unlimited use of nontoxic, washable paints

  • All brushes, sponges, stencils, and painting tools

  • Glazing and professional kiln firing

  • Wrapping and packaging of your finished piece for pickup

How long does painting take?

Take your time—there’s no time limit while you’re painting.  If you don’t finish in one visit, you can bring your piece back to finish it—at no extra charge.

When will my piece be ready?

Your pottery will be glazed and kiln-fired and ready for pickup in approximately 7 days. We take this time to ensure a high-quality, long-lasting finish.

How long will you hold my finished piece?

We hold completed items for 45 days from the date they’re ready for pickup. We’ll make multiple efforts to contact you before we consider donating any unclaimed work, but due to space limitations, we cannot hold items past that timeframe.

Can I bring food or drinks?

Yes! You’re welcome to bring snacks or meals—and we are proudly a BYOB studio. Guests 21+ may bring wine or beer (no hard liquor). We have cups and openers available upon request.

 Can I bring my pet?

Yes! We are a pet-friendly studio. Friendly, leashed pets are always welcome. Just please ensure their paws stay off the pottery—clean hands (and paws!) help ensure perfect results during firing.

 Is this kid-friendly?

Absolutely! We love seeing guests of all ages get creative. We offer a wide selection of kid-friendly pieces and our staff is great with families. It’s a perfect spot for family outings, birthdays, and bonding time.

What if I’ve never painted before?

No experience? No problem! We offer step-by-step techniques, project samples for inspiration, and our friendly staff is always available to guide you. Everyone leaves with a piece they can be proud of.

Are the paints safe? Will they wash out?

Yes—our paints are nontoxic and washable from skin and most fabrics.

We do not provide smocks for every guest—our smocks are for employee use only. But don’t worry! The paint comes out easily with soap and water. We just recommend wearing clothes you don’t mind getting a little artistic in.

Do I need to wash my hands before painting?

Yes, please! Oils, lotion, and dirt can affect how paint adheres to pottery and how it fires. We kindly ask all guests to wash their hands before painting to help ensure perfect results.

Can you ship my finished piece?

Yes—under certain circumstances. If you’re visiting from out of town or creating a gift, we can ship your finished piece for an additional fee. Ask our staff for current rates and availability.

Can I host a party or private event here?

Yes! We host birthday parties, baby showers, team-building events, field trips, and more. Visit our Parties & Events page or call us for details on packages and private bookings.

Are the pieces food safe?

Yes! Once glazed and fired in our professional kiln, all functional pottery pieces—such as mugs, plates, bowls, and serving dishes—are completely food safe.

We use lead-free, nontoxic glazes, and our high-temperature firing process ensures that your creation is safe to use for everyday meals, drinks, and snacks.

Note: We still recommend hand-washing your pottery to preserve its finish and beauty over time.
